Thanks to a unique partnership between Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation and Mercedes-Benz South Africa the largest names in the global truck industry, the ‘New Generation’ Mitsubishi Fuso Canter is a welcome addition to the Mitsubishi Fuso range. Manufactured in Mitsubishi Fuso’s manufacturing plant in Kawasaki, Japan, the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter is imported in completely-knocked-down (CKD) kits and assembled in East London, South Africa.

Continuing to build upon its partnership links, as of March 2005, Mercedes-Benz South Africa now owns an 85% stockholding in the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation. This link positions Mercedes-Benz South Africa as the world’s biggest commercial vehicle manufacturer. Worldwide more than 120 000 Mitsubishi Fuso Canters are manufactured each year.
